Table Talk

This is the forum to meet and talk about theological issues. This idea came from Martin Luther who would have seminary students at his house for dinner to talk about biblical issues at the dinner table.

Trust in Jesus with all your circumstances in life

Dear Lord, You are my God as well! Yet, I know that in many situations, I have not confessed You as my God. Lord, teach me to confess You as my God in every circumstance—when I have sinned, when I am sick, when I am abased, when I am abounding. Wherever I am, whatever comes my way, may I see You as my God, lovingly and powerfully handling my times, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Most often, though, nobody came…to hear the old man play.

His songs were woven out of faith; those hymns he loved so dear…

Alone, he’d play into the night…though no one came to hear.

And then one day the music stopped…but few would seem to…

Walking with God

Walking With God

As I walked the country lane, enjoying the afternoon breeze,

I thought about God and Adam strolling beneath Eden's trees.

Appreciating one another's company on another perfect day,

No doubt it was, for at the time, perfect was the only way.

What did Adam have to say, or did he let God do the talking,

Then they may have just enjoyed a quite time, while walking.

Experiencing a tranquillity that my mind can… Continue
